| Frank Lampard will keep scoring penalty kicks until they count |

After missing his first penalty kick in three years during Chelsea's 2-1 loss to Manchester City a couple weeks ago, Frank Lampard was forced to convert three straight penalty attempts in order to put the score of Sunday's match against West Ham at 1-1. His first two attempts were canceled out by mass encroachment and maybe referee Mike Dean's desire to give the home fans as much of a chance to verbally abuse the former Hammer as possible. But Lampard kept his cool and scored all three attempts with ease to partially make up for an uncalled handball on Danny Gabbidon in the box early on in the match. No word on if Dean plans to call Lampard at 3 a.m. on Christmas day to say "You know what? Let's do it one more time. Haha just kidding. Actually, no I'm not." Posted originally: 12/21/2009 |
